AI Astrologer Chat: What to Ask, in Hindi or English, and What to Expect
Open an AI astrology chat on Astroliya and nobody is typing back: every astrologer here is an AI, labelled as one wherever it appears. What it does have is your calculated Vedic chart, and it names the planet, house or dasha behind each answer so you can check it.

What an AI astrologer is, and what it isn't
An AI astrologer on Astroliya is a computer program, not a person. It is a language model that has been handed your calculated Vedic birth chart and a set of rules about how to talk about it. There is no pandit typing on the other side, no family, no degree and no years of practice. Every persona is labelled AI wherever it appears, and it says so plainly in the chat whenever you ask.
That honesty is the starting point, not a disclaimer at the bottom. People come to astrology with real questions about marriage, work, money or a difficult year. You deserve to know what is answering you, so you can decide how much weight to give it.
What the AI does have is your chart. Your birth date, time and place are turned into a sidereal (Vedic) kundli on Astroliya's servers before any AI is involved. The AI reads from that calculation. It is not allowed to make up a planet, a degree or a date, and when it says something about you it names the reason: which planet, in which house, during which dasha.
So it helps to hold two ideas at once:
- It is a reader of a real calculation. The chart behind the answer is the same one you can open for free on the kundli page.
- It is not an oracle. Astrology, as the classical texts present it, describes tendencies and timing. The AI offers one traditional reading of those, never a verdict on your life.
How an AI astrologer uses your chart in a chat
Every Astroliya chat follows the same order, whichever persona you choose:
- Your birth details. You save a birth profile once: date, time if you know it, and place.
- The calculated chart. From those, the servers work out your rashi (Moon sign), lagna (rising sign), the twelve houses, nakshatras and Vimshottari dasha periods, the sidereal way.
- Fixed-rule findings. Checks with set rules, such as whether you are in Sade Sati, Manglik status and the current transits over your chart, are worked out by the calculation too, not guessed by the AI.
- The answer. The AI reads your question against those facts and replies, naming the placements it relied on so you can check them against your own kundli.
If you don't know your birth time, the chart is read at local noon. That still gives your Moon sign in most cases, the planets' signs and the dasha outline, but no lagna and no houses, and the AI tells you which parts are uncertain rather than inventing them. Our guide to a kundli without birth time explains what survives and what doesn't.
The full method, from the ephemeris to the rules the AI must follow, has its own page: how Astroliya's AI reads your chart.
Who to ask about what
Astroliya's personas share one chart engine, but each is set up for a different kind of question, reads a different part of the chart and speaks in its own tone. Several personas share a specialty with a different voice: some calm and elderly, some brisk and practical. The roster on the astrologers page shows them all with their specialty and languages. The core group looks like this:
| Ask about | Persona | School or method | What it focuses on |
|---|---|---|---|
| Timing: job change, marriage, a big purchase | Vedant | Parashari | Houses, planetary strength, your running Mahadasha and Antardasha |
| Event timing in the KP style | Rishi | Krishnamurti Paddhati | Significators and star lords, framed on your Vedic chart |
| Kundli matching and marriage | Kavya | Ashtakoota Guna Milan | The eight kootas, Manglik status with its cancellations, the 7th house |
| Love and relationships | Meera | Vedic, Parashari | The 5th and 7th houses, Venus, the Moon and the current dasha |
| Career and money | Arjun | Vedic, Parashari | The 10th, 6th, 2nd and 11th houses, Saturn, Jupiter and timing |
| Tarot | Tara | Rider-Waite tradition | The cards you draw, read for reflection rather than prediction |
| Numerology | Anka | Chaldean and Pythagorean | Numbers worked out from your name and birth date |
| Vastu | Bhoomi | Vastu Shastra | Room by room, small changes first, no demolition |
A few honest notes on this table:
- Rishi says plainly that KP charts are not in the app yet. Placidus cusps, sub-lords and significator tables are not calculated, so Rishi frames KP ideas on your Vedic chart and will not present a cusp or sub-lord as if it were worked out.
- Kavya sees only the chart of the profile in the chat. For a partner, it works from the details you share and says what it cannot see; in the Astroliya app, a chat opened from a match result also sees both charts in that match. If you want the scoring first, our Guna Milan guide walks through the 36 points.
- Tara, Anka and Bhoomi have free tools beside them. You can draw cards on the tarot tool, work out your numbers on the numerology tool and read room tips on the vastu tool before asking a single question.
What a first chat looks like
A first conversation is shorter and plainer than people expect. Here is the shape of it.
- Open a persona from the astrologers page and start a chat. You sign in with your phone number first.
- Pick the birth profile and the language. Every answer uses that chart, so choose the right profile before asking about a parent or a sibling, and choose Hindi or English for the chat.
- Ask one clear question. "Is this a good year to change jobs?" works better than "Tell me everything."
- Read the reasons, not just the answer. The reply should name the dasha, house or transit behind it. If it doesn't, ask "why?"
- Follow up. Ask for the timing in months, what to watch for, or what a placement means in plain words.
Here is an illustration we wrote to show that shape. It is not a transcript, and the chart in it is made up:
Notice what the reply does not do: it does not promise an offer letter, name a date for success, or tell you to buy anything.
Chat in Hindi or English
Every persona works in both Hindi and English. Each chat runs in one language, and the replies come in that language: Hindi answers are written in Devanagari, English answers in plain Indian English. Either way, chart terms such as dasha, lagna, nakshatra and Sade Sati are kept recognisable, so you can match what the AI says with what you see on your kundli page.
If someone in the family reads Hindi more comfortably, start the chat in Hindi rather than translating an English reply afterwards. The reasoning stays the same; only the language changes.
What the AI astrologer won't do
Some limits hold in every chat, however you phrase the question: no medical, legal or financial advice, no fear-based predictions, no promised outcomes, and remedies only as optional tradition. If a message suggests someone may be in danger, the chat puts helpline numbers first instead of a reading.
The full list, with the reasons behind each limit, is in how Astroliya's AI reads your chart.
Is there a free astrology chat?
People often search for a free astrology chat, so here is a straight answer. Chats with Astroliya's AI astrologers are paid per minute from your wallet, at the rate shown on each persona's card before you start. Rates are shown before you start and can change, so we don't print numbers here.
What is free is the chart itself, and a lot of what a chat would read from it:
- Your full Vedic kundli on the kundli page, with planets, houses and dasha periods. Our guide to an online kundli by date of birth explains every part.
- Guna Milan on the matching page.
- Daily sign readings on the horoscope page, and the tarot, numerology and vastu tools above.
A good habit before you ask an AI astrologer anything is to open your free kundli and look at your current dasha. You will ask better questions, and you will be able to check the answer.
Chat, or a written report?
A chat is best for one live question and its follow-ups. A report is better when you want the whole picture on a theme in one place, such as marriage, career or a year ahead, written from your chart and kept to read again. If you're unsure which you need, our guide to astrology reports matches common questions to the right report, and the reports page lists them.
Accuracy, method and privacy, briefly
The chart is calculated with sidereal positions, the Lahiri ayanamsa and Vimshottari dashas before any AI is involved; how it is interpreted is tradition, and the AI can be wrong. Replies are written by outside AI companies, so share only what you would type into any online service. The plain-language method is on how Astroliya works, and questions about your data go to support.
Questions people ask
Is an AI astrologer a real person?
No. Every Astroliya astrologer is an AI system, labelled as AI in every chat. It reads your calculated chart and explains it, but there is no person behind it, and it never claims to be one.
Which AI astrologer should I ask about marriage?
For matching two charts, ask Kavya or another matching persona, ideally after running Guna Milan on the matching page. For timing, such as when marriage looks supported in your own chart, Vedant's Parashari reading of the 7th house and your dasha is the usual choice. For a relationship that already exists, Meera's love-and-relationships focus fits better.
Can I ask an AI astrologer in Hindi?
Yes. Every persona works in Hindi and English, and a chat in Hindi gets its replies in Devanagari Hindi. Chart terms stay recognisable, so you can still check them against your kundli.
What if I don't know my birth time?
You can still chat. The chart is read at local noon, which keeps your planets' signs and the dasha outline but drops the lagna and houses. The AI will say which parts are uncertain rather than fill the gap.
Is an AI astrology chat accurate?
The positions in your chart are calculated, so those are not guesses. The reading of them follows tradition, which is a lens rather than proof, and the AI can make mistakes. Treat it as one considered view to reflect on, and check the reasons it gives against your own kundli.
